Legislative Update: 7/31/23

As of today, the 2023 legislative session is over for half of US states and Congress has begun its August recess (in effect until at least Labor Day).

The biggest news on the legislative front this week is that a slightly amended version of the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) passed out of the Senate committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation last week.
