Talk to FSC

FSC is the trade organization for the adult industry and can help you understand the resources available to you. In some cases, we may be able to reach out to the people or company involved.

What are the benefits?

  • FSC can help you understand the resources available.

  • FSC can help you understand how similar situations have been resolved, or not been resolved in the past.

  • FSC can escalate to the appropriate department or person to deal with it.

  • FSC can keep your account confidential, or work with you to pursue a resolution.

  • FSC may be able to secure resolution for an issue that doesn’t necessarily require — or may be ill-suited for — law enforcement or the legal system.

  • FSC is a relatively neutral body within the industry, and can reach out to others in the industry in a manner that is non-threatening.

  • FSC can provide you with a list of professional resources if you decide to pursue additional avenues.

What are the potential risks?

  • FSC does not have the power to require anyone to do anything. We can attempt to achieve a resolution, but have no power to compel one.

  • A statement given to FSC could be subpoenaed if a legal case was filed. Additionally, anyone at FSC could be compelled to testify, even if the information you provided was done so confidentially. (We do not have the same protections as lawyers or therapists.)

  • Any attempt at a resolution made may result in retaliatory measures from those involved, if they are able to determine who has spoken to us.

  • Not every interaction with an FSC member, employee or representative should be treated as a formal complaint. Except in case of emergencies, use the email below to start the process.

  • FSC will always try to work as a neutral arbiter in disputes. However, as an industry trade organization which represents producers as well as performers, we may have conflicts of interest with our Board Members, members, partners, employees, contractors, or donors.

  • Always be aware that your complaint may be about someone with whom we have a close relationship. While we will still keep it confidential, and will work to minimize conflicts of interest and disclose potential issues to you as soon as we realize them, our ability to be truly neutral should always be questioned.

  • Other performer-based organizations like APAC, APAG, or BIPOC Collective may be able to provide similar tools with fewer potential conflicts.

What else should I know?

  • FSC is not able to provide legal representation

  • FSC can provide a list of working professionals providing legal representation, therapy or other services, but can not provide recommendations.

  • FSC will always work as a neutral arbiter. However, as an industry body, FSC may have conflicts of interest with its Board Members, members, or donors.

How can I prepare?

  • Decide what your ideal resolution to the situation would be. Understanding what you want to happen will better help us understand how we can assist.

  • Read through the other options available to you, to understand the potential benefits and risks.
